AUTOMATION PROJECTS

ALEXANDRIA INDUSTRIES

CHALLENGE
Our client needed to control the amount of water and caustic mixture within multiple tanks, while keeping a steady temperature to prevent the mixture from settling. The challenge was to remove fumes from the tank without pulling heat from the mixture, and holding the used mixture in a cooldown tank until it can be put into a spent tank.

SOLUTION
We used pneumatic valves to control the filling and emptying of the different tanks while using pneumatic agitators to keep the mixture from settling. The heat was controlled with PID (Propositional–Integral–Derivative) so it was always at the ideal temperature while a fan was used to extract the fumes.

ENTEGRIS

CHALLENGE
Our client needed to scan multiple unique barcodes into a laser etching program, ensuring material and size codes were correct, while keeping open spots for additional part information to be captured.

SOLUTION
We provided a scanner that allowed our client to parse data from each unique barcode, generating and combining the required information prior to sending to the laser etching software.

VOYAGER INDUSTRIES

CHALLENGE
The high demand for our client’s product, coupled with an industry labor shortage, created a situation where Voyager needed to allow for the increased demand while remaining within their existing labor force.

SOLUTION
A robotic welder was purchased and programmed to allow for a multitude of weldments to be produced, eliminating the need to increase their labor force.
